International Bicycle Fund
Just discovered a nice non profit website.
A non-governmental, nonprofit, advocacy organization, providing information and resources promoting sustainable transport and international understanding to make this planet a healthier and happier place to live. Major areas of activity are non-motorized urban planning, economic development, bike safety education, responsible travel and bicycle tourism, and cross-cultural, educational programs.

Draft League of Bicycling Voters Strategic Plan 2012
Members of the League of Bicycling Voters are currently reviewing and submitting feedback on the draft LOBV Strategic Plan 2012. You can participate as well. To join the discussion about how to create a world-class bicycling city, just become a member, and we’ll be in touch for your feedback.
The people of Austin can accomplish so much more on behalf of bicycling when we are organized. We will be receiving member input on the draft LOBV Strategic Plan 2012 through this Friday, January 27th, so don’t put it off any longer: become one of the “organized”.

Austin Pedicab Owners/Drivers Association
Austin Pedicab companies have long lacked any real power in dealing with the City of Austin, the Ground Transportation Authority and the Austin Police Department. That is because we lack cohesive political lobby and and unity on the core issues of pedicabbing in Austin. Despite all the issues that divide the pedicab community, I am sure that there are core issues that we can agree on. In the intrest of the above I am formming a pedicab owners/drivers association. It will be comprised of an owner and a driver (nominated and voted on by each company respectively). We will meet once a month, and discuss issues facing the pedicab community and how to move through them. We will assign homework and a report back to each other each month on the status of our political/social activities. Pedicabbing is too large to still exist and make our money at the whim of the city and the police. Our business is past its outlaw stage. Any pedicab company that is interested in securing our industry’s future or any rider interested in helping on issues that effect our community should email me at merritt87@gmail.com. I will setting up the first meeting for the week after SXSW.
